The Case Study activity will be a time of learning together and sharing our expertise. Facilitated by Grow & Lead’s Chad Mager, various case studies will be the topic of discussion at individual tables with questions and problems to solve as a group. Topics tackled include volunteer management, conflict, board roles and fundraising. After working together on the case, the table will have a chance to share their findings and solutions with all attendees, working with the facilitator and matching their conclusions against best practice solutions.
The Michigan Community Service Commission will be hosting the Volunteer Michigan Tour in regions throughout the state. This tour will allow stakeholders to share thoughts on how to expand service and volunteerism to address the state’s biggest issues. Participants will discuss community challenges and ways to improve the quality of life for residents. They will also explore methods to collaborate and share resources. The input gathered from the tour will help shape the future of Michigan volunteerism as participants will generate ideas to include in a new State Service Plan.
