What's Out There? Solar Eclipse

A presentation to prepare people for the upcoming solar eclipse

On Wednesday, August 9, at 7:00 pm, the Marquette Astronomical Society in conjunction with the Peter White Public Library will be presenting “What’s Out There?  Solar Eclipse.”  Held in the library’s community room at 7:00 pm, this program will prepare the public for the upcoming solar eclipse on August 21.

 

Five speakers will give presentations on different aspects of solar eclipses.  Craig Linde will explain how to safely observe the eclipse using tools such as filters.  Fred Mouser will give the history of famous total solar eclipses.  Andre Gale will talk about types of
