–grab a cuppa and discuss sci-fi, old and new
On Wednesday, May 20 at 7:00 pm, the Peter White Public Library will host a virtual meeting of its science fiction book group, Klava Klub, via Zoom, to discuss Claire G. Coleman’s Terra Nullius.
Set in Australia, the settlers are trying to adjust to a new climate and tame the natives, wondering if they are people or animals. The natives provide good labor and are suited to the hot, arid climate, but are they worth educating? Certainly there is no harm in beating any rebellious or independent thought out of them. Is this a story of Australia’s past or future?
