"Songs of the Great Lakes" Workshop

The Beaumier Heritage Concert Series presents a songwriting workshop by some of the Upper and Lower Peninsula’s greatest songwriters.

The Beaumier Heritage Concert Series presents a songwriting workshop by some of the Upper and Lower Peninsula’s greatest songwriters. This workshop is free and open to the public.

The “Song of the Great Lakes” workshop will be presented by Pat Niemisto (former NMU grad and native of Pelkie), Chris Skellenger and Bryan Poirer of Maple City, Michigan.  The three songwriters have been at the very heart of the folk music scene of the northwest Lower Peninsula for decades in various ensembles and as a solo artists.  All three have been members of the New Third Coast, one of Michigan’s
