CLASS GOALS;
To reduce stress and increase our vitality. To strengthen our lungs and immune system.
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
The class will start with 20 to 30 minutes of warming the joints and strengthening our entire body with easy to follow movements. Qi Gong movement meditations are part of this warmup. These exercises help us balance body and mind and connect Heaven and Earth.
Much of this warm up can be done seated. Less push is of more benefit for health and well-being as we relax into the positive energy of an inner smile and deep easy breath.
We will then practice individual moves from Wong style before doing either short form or long form that we have been doing in class.
Some classes will end with a seated meditation of the Five Elements. The Five Animals and the Three Laughs will sneak into our class at indeterminate times.
Classes are free, and you can register here.
This is a program offered by the City of Marquette Senior Center, supported by the City of Marquette Arts & Culture Center.
