Oliver Stone’s 1989 Modern Classic film

The Peter White Public Library invites the public to view the 1989 Modern Classic, Born on the Fourth of July, on Thursday, November 16, 2017, part of the Remember Vietnam series of events, in the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room at 6:30 pm.

 

Directed by Oliver Stone and starring Tom Cruise, this biographical drama follows the tribulations of Ron Kovic.  Paralyzed during combat in the Vietnam War, Ron must come to terms with his paralysis and feelings of having been betrayed by the country he fought for.  Eventually he becomes an anti-war, pro-human rights activist.  This
