NCLL Hosts Prehistoric Garden Beds Presentation

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a presentation titled Prehistoric Garden Beds from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in room 122 of the Jacobetti Complex.

Native Americans grew historic corn in the Upper Peninsula prior to contact with the Europeans. Professor Emerita Marla Buckmaster will discuss the evidence that verifies the presence of prehistoric gardens along the Menominee River.
