Multiculturalism in the UP

A round table discussion on ethnicity followed by dessert.

On Monday, January 15, the Peter White Public Library will host a round table discussion with Linda Cobe, Timothy Derwin, Mohey Mowafy, and Kadijah Wilson on Multiculturalism in the UP at 6:30 pm in the library’s community room.

 

A graduate of Northern Michigan University, Linda is an Ojibwe/Oneida elder enrolled with the Lac Vieux Desert Tribe in Watersmeet, MI.  She has recently published an autobiography entitled Red, White & Blues.  Although Linda has faced a life of abandonment, boarding school, adoption, abuse, and loss of culture, she has come full circle as she has found her way
