Matinee Movie--Marshall

10th place in the African-American Film Critics Association 2017 Top 10 films

On Thursday, March 15, at 12:30 pm, the Peter White Public Library will show the 2017 film, Marshall, in the library’s community room as part of its Matinee Movie series.  Bring your own lunch and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting.  Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.

 

This biographical drama presents an old-fashioned courtroom drama of an early case of Thurgood Marshall, the first African-American Supreme Court Justice.   Called up to Connecticut, Marshall defends a black chauffeur charged with the sexual assault and attempted murder of his white socialite
