Matinee Movie--A Monster Calls

A young boy struggles with bullies and his mother’s terminal illness.

 

On Thursday, November 2, at 12:30 pm, the Peter White Public Library will show the 2016 film, A Monster Calls, in the library’s community room as part of its Matinee Movie series.  Bring your own lunch and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting.  Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.

 

12-year old Conor O’Malley is having troubles in his life.  He suffers from nightmares and bullies pick on him at school.  On top of that, his mother has a terminal illness.  One night a tree monster comes to visit him, telling him that he will tell him three stories in exchange
