"Almost Sunrise" Screening
Please note, this event has expired.
Please join us for a FREE community screening of “Almost Sunrise” on November 7th at 6 pm in NMU’s Jamrich Hall 1100.
Almost Sunrise is a powerful documentary following two Iraq veterans through their struggle with depression upon returning home from service. Fearful of succumbing to the epidemic of veteran suicide, they seek a lifeline and embark on a 2,700-mile walk across America as a way to confront their inner pain.
Suicide now takes more lives than war, with at least 20 veterans taking their lives EVERY DAY. Moral injury has been called the signature wound of the post-9/11 wars in the Middle East, yet far too few people understand what it is and the role it plays in the veteran suicide epidemic.View more
