Adult Ballet Classes

Adult ballet classes are held throughout the year at the Queen City Arts Building, 131 Michigan Ave in Marquette. Adults, college students and serious teens of all levels are welcome to drop in any time.
All ballet classes are based on solid ballet technique with a mixture of styles (Italian, Russian, French, Balanchine etc) and will include work on turn out, stretch and flexibility, posture, balance, body alignment including abdominal strength, barre/center combination application and pointe work when applicable. The goal in all classes is for dancers to see improvement in their technique and for guidance to be given to help dancers each their goals.
All Ballet Classes are taught by Deborah Choszczyk. Classes are drop in with NO contracts and conducted all year for dancers of all ability levels. All dancers are accommodated in class.
Beginner – dancers new to ballet, or with minimal training. Novice – dancers with a year or more of training still in need of basic technique. Intermediate – dancers with several years of good ballet training, able to execute some exercises at a faster pace. The Ballet Class Schedule for 2017 follows:
Thursdays 5:00 pm – 6:35 pm Ballet Class – Novice/Intermediate Level
Thursdays 6:35 pm – 8:05 pm Ballet Class – Beginner/Novice Level
Saturdays 11:15 am – 12:00 pm Pre-pointe/Pointe Class for dancers working towards pointe work and for those needing concentrated work on pointe.
